* Notice of the Ministry of Justice
With the decree of 5th August and its amendment of 9th August, 2021, the Ministry of Justice issued the call for the financing of interventions at the organization in the context of Axis I, Specific Objective 1.4, Action 1.4.1 "Actions to improve efficiency and the performance of the Judicial Offices through technological innovation, organizational support for the computerization and telematization of the Judicial Offices, dissemination of specific innovations and support for the activation of change management interventions ".
The notice relates to the financing of projects presented by public universities, individually or with the role of Lead Partner of a partnership and the projects are aimed at carrying out actions in synergy with the judicial offices of their territory, considering the dissemination of the Office for the process, the elimination of the backlog and the reduction of the time of Justice.

* Call ERC Consolidator Grants 2022
The call is designed to fund excellent projects submitted by Principal Investigators (PIs) who are consolidating their own research team and/or their own independent research.
PIs, of any age and nationality, that have been awarded their PhD within a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 12 years prior to 1 January 2022. Eligibility extensions are provided for maternity/paternity, long-term illness, national service, clinical training. The sole evaluation criterion is scientific excellence.
Grants can be up to a maximum of 2 million Euros for a period of 5 years. An additional funding of 1 million Euros can be requested.

* CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program
The Canadian research organisation CIFAR, with the support of Azrieli Foundaiton, invites exceptional researchers from across the natural, biomedical and social sciences and the humanities to join one of their interdisciplinary research programs.
CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars are provided research funding and participate in a CIFAR research program over a two-year term. Scholars receive 100,000 Canadian dollars in research support.

Effectiveness and Implementation Research for Post-Acute Interventions to Optimize Long-Term Mental Health Outcomes in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (R34 Clinical Trial Optional)

NIH-NIMH has published an international funding opportunity announcement (FOA) which seeks research applications for effectiveness and implementation science on the post-acute (long-term or chronic) management of mental health conditions. This FOA aims to advance the development of novel and innovative implementation research to improve the availability and accessibility of post-acute services in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The NIH Planning Grant Program (R34) provides support for the initial development of a clinical trial or research project.

* KIC EIT Raw Materials - Presentation meeting
connects stakeholders and actors from different parts of the raw materials value chain, creating a unique collaborative environment for breakthrough innovations and radically new ways to address raw materials challenges. EIT RM launched a second call for Projects KAVA 9 for actions beginning in 2022. The International Research Office invites researchers interested in applying to a presentation meeting that will take place on October 11 at 16.30 via zoom.
The meeting will be attended by Prof. Franco Bonollo UNIPD representative within the KIC, Fabio Pegorin, business developer, and Fabio Ferri, education officer, for the KIC Innovation Hub South.

* Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water - Specialized Prizes
Four prizes are available:
• the surface water prize;
• the groundwater prize;
• the alternative water resources prize;
• the water management and protection prize.

Researchers and research teams may nominate themselves.

* Call Talent@UniPD 
The call for the ERC Consolidator Grant_2022 will open on October 19th, 2021. The call falls within Horizon Europe, the European Commission Programme for research and innovation. Promising candidates, wishing to apply with the University of Padua as their Host Institution, are welcome to participate in the Talent@UniPD, which is a scouting initiative promoted by the International Research Office. It aims at identifying and supporting outstanding Principal Investigators (in and outside the University of Padua), who will be assisted at each stage of their ERC proposal preparation and submission.

* IP in Horizon Projects (H2020/HEU) – Online event, 6 October 2021 from 10.30 AM to 12.00 PM CEST
The European Commission will hold a free webinar on intellectual property (IP) within the scope of the Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects. The aim of the webinar is to provide basic notions on how to properly deal with intellectual property issues.

The main IP-related challenges in EU-funded research and innovation projects will be presented. The webinar will especially focus on the following topics:
- the key characteristics and terminology of an EU funded project and of the different participating partners;
- the aspects of IP that need to be considered in collaborative research projects and in which phases of the project IP is most important;
- IP rules and requirements under Horizon 2020 / HEU;
- definition of the project background and ownership of the results;
- how to set up a regime for the granting of access rights.

* “Italia Domani”, the portal dedicated to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, is online
The portal, divided into sections, illustrates all the information regarding the implementation of the Plan and allows users to consult the progress of each investment and expense.
By accessing the “Cross Priorities” section, it is possible to navigate among the main measures that have a positive impact on young people, on gender equality and on the reduction of territorial gaps.
The “Missions” section illustrates the main interventions and financial resources available for the 6 Missions of the PNRR.
The "Reforms" section illustrates the contents, aims and timing expected for the reforms.
Finally, the part dedicated to "Investments" illustrates the investment projects within the Plan, monitoring their progress, benefits, activities, amount and expected deadlines.

* From the PON Research and Innovation, new resources for research contracts on green and innovation topics - New Program actions funded with FSE REACT-EU resources
With the Ministerial Decree n. 1062 of of 08.10.2021, the MUR assigned the available endowment on the PON "Research and Innovation" resources 2014-2020 with reference to Action IV.4 - "Doctorates and research contracts on innovation thematics" and IV.6 "Research contracts on Green issues ", on behalf of subjects who can activate fixed-term research contracts of type A) pursuant to law no. 240, Art. 24, paragraph 3 (hereinafter RTD-A).

Our University has been awarded resources equal to 1,550,003.94 Euros for the activation of research contracts on innovation topics (Action IV.4) and 6,855,786.68 Euros for the activation of research contracts on Green issues (Action IV.6).
These resources make it possible to finance 13 RTD-A positions on innovation issues and 56 RTD-A positions on Green topics.
